Pixel Inspiration has today been selected by the Institute of Directors to implement an internal digital signage solution incorporating member canvassing technologies. The IoD is the professional body for business leaders and they have been supporting and representing individual directors from all sectors for over 100 years. Based in several locations throughout central London, the institute provides numerous services and advise to business leaders throughout the UK.
As part of an ongoing drive to communicate and collaborate with its members, the IoD asked Pixel to architect and implement an audience response system, allowing visitors to the IoD's headquarters to express their opinion on the business topic of the moment. Information gathered from members is communicated using large format, high definition displays located at key points within the building.
Future phases will include the roll out of the system to other premises in the IoD estate, allowing true multi-site voting capabilities.
The system gives the IoD total control of the vote topics, using Pixel's simple web based screen management software. New votes can be quickly and simply broadcast to one or more sites, with the details of results being shown on their digital screen network in near real time.
Unobtrusive wireless handsets provide the feedback capability and allow for a variety of poll types from simple positive/negative response to multiple choices.
Barry Bugg, Pixel's MD comments "The IoD is a democratic organisation with a very high footfall throughout its premises. This technology solution is perfectly suited to their needs and provides a robust and proven platform for internal communication and electronic canvassing".
