Britannia head office goes digital with screen and AV system from Pixel Inspiration - (12/02/08)

Britannia Building Society puts digital screen and AV system at the heart of head office redesign

Pixel Inspiration, the digital signage agency, has been selected by Britannia Building Society to develop and install a complete digital display and AV solution at its recently redeveloped head office in Leek, Staffordshire.

Part of Britannia's head office has been redesigned to incorporate a covered atrium environment, housing an informal meeting and presentation space, café area and various meeting pods. To compliment the redesign, Britannia wanted a digital screen solution which would enable staff to view internal presentations, important corporate communications and live and pre-recorded television.

Pixel was challenged with developing a solution which would be clearly visible in such a high light environment which an atrium roof structure creates. Pixel's solution combines two 67" rear projection sunlight readable display screens, coupled with an AV system enabling Public Address, background music, multiple source routing and mood lighting, all controlled via a simple, custom designed touch panel interface.

Working alongside contractors Styles and Wood, Pixel provided a single point of contact spanning the development, procurement and installation of the entire solution. Moreover, Pixel's experience in presenting visual content in high light environments, which include Manchester Airport's Terminal 1, enabled the company to deliver a solution that met and exceeded Britannia's exacting requirements.
