Chopstix Noodle Bar is an Oriental quick-service takeaway restaurant brand with over 70 sites across the UK and Republic of Ireland. Though over 10 years old, the last 4 years have seen real growth for the brand with units opening across prime locations such as Bluewater Shopping Centre & Westfield London as well as a host of motorway service stations and prominent high street locations.
With a strong focus on high-quality healthy food and top rate customer service, the brand felt a digital menu board system would offer a canvas fit for showcasing their quality offering at the same time as positively impacting the customer experience. The brand reached out to Pixel in 2018 to become their digital signage partner.
Starting with the launch of their flagship site at Westfield London, Pixel worked closely with the brand marketing team (and Westfield’s own brand team) to define the ideal, scalable menu board solution for the network. Depending on site size, this manifests itself as either a 3, 4 or 5 screen ‘longee’ solution installed above service counters. These displays are powered by a two-player redundancy system designed so that if the primary player develops a fault (we all know that technology can have its moments!), the secondary springs to life and no restaurant is left without a business critical menu board.
The brand utilises a playful, high-colour, manga-like style across its marketing channels and our in-house design team had great fun working with these elements to produce the full video menu board animations. The combination of the slightly ‘out there’ design coupled with our expert animation work creates some truly standout menu boards.
