Asian inspired quick-service restaurant chain Itsu approached Pixel when it wanted to update its existing menu board infrastructure to something digital. The solution we provided uses our advanced media player configuration, which automatically monitors the real-time status of all displays, reverting to a back-up should a component fail.
Content features a programmatically animated Itsu butterfly, built using HTML5, with a flight path controlled using SCALA media metadata. The idea behind this is to help draw the attention of any given audience to any particular item each site is hoping to sell higher volumes of. Behind the butterfly, the menu artwork is brought to life by Pixel’s in-house studio team who take the static menu and inject some delicate amounts of animation that highlights product categories and new items.
