Integrated digital visual and audio in-branch communications
Lloyds Bank is a British retail and commercial bank with branches across England and Wales.
In 2012, Lloyds looked to identify a digital partner who had full-service expertise, a creative approach and the ability to design and produce best in class content. They needed a partner who had the neccessary experience and technical knowledge to integrate a new digital communications platform with their existing systems and processes.
With previous knowledge of the client, having been working with Lloyds Banking Group since 2008, initially on the implementation of a staff communication solutions for their operational offices across the UK, we won the contract to supply and maintain their in-branch digital media infrastructure and content. This involved the installation of displays in several key locations throughout each newly refurbished branch, including behind the counter and at the store-front. The system provides for the full remote management and content scheduling to thousands of displays and also integrates with the in-branch radio, allowing the audio and visual communications to work hand-in-hand rather than competing for attention.
As part of the wider roll-out, we’ve also worked with the bank and their branch design ecosystem partners to implement a series of ‘flagship’ locations, where the full gamut of banking services are provided in totally new format, featuring significant investment in new digital touch points.
We now help this leading high street banking operator manage their in-branch experience and digital marketing in over 400 locations. The solution mixes all display technologies, including LCD, LED and Projection, but is managed by a single software platform that provides for automatic localisation of content, local staff control at key sites and a series of interactive canvasses, allowing digital exploration of the bank’s services and products.
The project includes the award winning flagship site in Manchester; one of our favourite digital installations due to its scale and mix of digital canvasses, including edge-blended projection, large format LED and LCD surfaces. Check it out in the video below to see an idea of why it won so many awards.
