Helping customers find the perfect tipple to celebrate life's memorable moments
Founded in 1743, Moët & Chandon, also known simply as Moët, is a French fine winery and co-owner of the luxury goods company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE. Moët et Chandon is one of the world's largest champagne producers and a prominent champagne house.
As part of a new chiller and free-standing display unit design, Moet wanted to integrate and interactive display to allow Sainsbury’s customers to interact with their products and learn more – whether they’re champagne connoisseurs looking for a new champagne cocktail idea or food pairing or simply someone shopping for a special occasion. The app needed to be intuitive and inviting to encourage customer engagement, improve knowledge of the range and, consequently, boost sales.
Pixel honoured the brand by designing and developing an elegant interface that’s easy for anyone to use. To align with the client brief, customers have the option to shop by product or occasion, but taking inspiration from Google and Netflix, we added an additional button; ‘Inspire Me’ which presents a random product when clicked to help the most indecisive of shopper. Shopping by occasion recommends a particular range, based on its suitability for the event, allowing customers to select with confidence the ideal accompaniment to their occasion. The PCAP touch display, interactive media player and cellular router were beautifully integrated into the bay by Impact Design. Once installed, everything is monitored proactively by the Pixel support team 24/7 to ensure maximum uptime. In addition, usage tracking was integrated into the touch application, enabling Moët to see realtime feedback on the utilisation of the application at each store.
The initial roll out was an immediate hit, with high levels of engagement and utilisation by consumers. In fact, the project was such a success that a second phase roll out has recently been commission by the client, which we are delighted about.
